Colorful Summer tops

My first attempt at sewing a top with darts was the Sorbetto, a free pattern from Colette Patterns.  When I came across the pattern in that pretty colorful fabric, I went out and bought 2 fabrics to try it out.

For my first version I followed the instructions exactly, and learned how to apply darts and use bias tape. The instructions were very clear and it was quick to whip up. And I was able to wear it!  The perfect top to keep you motivated to learn how to sew 🙂

For my second Sorbetto, I chose to add capped sleeves.  I found a tutorial with a pattern online for the sleeves. Not bad for my first tops 😉 I will definitely make more.  Maybe with long sleeves for the fall ?!
