It’s getting very cold here in France and we are expecting some snow this weekend, so I made a beanie with matching mittens from an old sweater.
I used an old wool purple sweater for the exterior and an old silk knit sweater for the lining. The mitten pattern was from Make & Do Crew. The pattern was a little big for my small hands so I removed 1cm all around.
The beanie sewing pattern was from @lucykatecrafts… This was a super easy pattern to whip up and sew. I just lengthened the pattern a bit to make it a slouchy beanie.
This purple matching mittens and beanie were my first pair, but I will definitely be making more of these, cause you never can have enough beanies and mittens, right ?! And it’s such a simple way to upcycle old sweaters.
